About Retrograde

Retrograde tracks retro handhelds and emulation devices: Anbernic, AYN, Retroid, Miyoo, AYANEO, and the many smaller brands that appear every month. We cover leaks, launches, firmware updates and price drops, and keep a database of specs and prices for every device.

Who we are

Retrograde is run by Andre, who reads and approves every news post before it's published.

How we work

We use software to watch brand announcements, store listings, firmware releases and community sources around the clock. When something new appears, AI writes a first draft using only facts from those sources. A person reads every news draft, checks it against the sources and approves, edits or rejects it before it goes live. Read the full editorial policy.
