How we label handheld news: rumor, confirmed, release
Reviewed by Andre ·Editorial policy
The handheld scene moves fast, and a lot of what gets passed around starts as a blurry photo or a translated post. To keep things clear, every story on this site carries one of these labels:
- Rumor: leaks or unofficial reports. Specs and prices often change before launch.
- Confirmed: the brand has announced it, or it’s listed on an official store.
- Release: the device is shipping or on sale.
- Firmware: a new firmware, custom OS or emulator release.
- Deal: a price drop or sale, checked when we posted it.
Each post lists its sources at the bottom, and device pages say whether their specs are verified. If we get something wrong, we correct it and say so on the post.
